Carmen Hiltner

July 16, 1934 — January 3, 2018

Carmen Florence Robeck Hiltner, 83, of Heath, OH, and formerly of Langdon, ND and Jeffersonton, VA, peacefully passed away on January 3, 2018, at the Chapel Grove Inn in Heath, OH.
Carmen was born July 16, 1934, to Leo and Emily (Valerius) Robeck in St. Michael, MN. Carmen married Frank Hiltner on June 27, 1953, and moved to Langdon. She was a member of the St. Alphonsus Church in Langdon, ND, for many years. She was a loving mother and devoted Grandma, Grma, Gram, Gramma and Spitfire to her grandchildren. Carmen was a kind and giving person. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved to cook and bake for family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening. Carmen taught her family and everyone she met to play the card game “Kings in the Corner”. In her younger years, she loved to play softball and bowl.
Carmen is survived by her children: Paul Hiltner of Rock Springs, WY, Allan (Janine) Hiltner of Eagan, MN, Don (Rory) Hiltner of Newark, OH, Gail (Raymond) Perez of Jeffersonton, VA, Lorie (Dave) Hoff of Glenburn, ND, Karen (Greg) Walsh of Woodinville, WA and Gerald (Carolyn) Hiltner of Wakefield, MA; 25 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Rick (Dolly); and sister Joan, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Frank; her parents; brothers: Florus, Vernon, Elmer, Omer and Loren; and sisters: Doris, Paula, Maureen and Lila.
Besides her family, Carmen will be especially missed by her three angels (close friends made during her stay at the Chapel Grove Inn): Elsie, Ginny and Lori.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, ND.

Visitation will take place one hour prior to service time at the church on Monday. Burial - Calvary Cemetery
