Beth L. Olafson

Beth L. Olafson, 93, Cavalier, ND passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral service will be held Monday, July 24, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the funeral home for one hour before the time of services. Burial will be held in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Beth was born November 13, 1923, near Leyden, ND to Charles and Agnes (Halwell) Shambaugh. She grew up in the rural Pembina County area and then attended high school in Walhalla, ND.
On March 10, 1949, she married Sig Olafson at Cavalier, ND. After their marriage, they lived in the Backoo area. Sig passed away September 7, 1981. Beth enjoyed baking and gardening. For the past several years she has resided at the Borg Memorial Home, Mountain, ND.
She is survived by her siblings: Faye (Lester) Williams, Grafton, WI, Don Shambaugh, Grafton, ND, Charles (Jane) Shambaugh, Fargo, ND.
Also preceding her in death, where her brothers: George, Keith, Dick, Scott, Dean, and Dallas; sisters: Lorena Thom and Margaret Thom.
