Avis Longtin

Avis Longtin, 69, of Walhalla, ND, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017, at the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla. Memorial service will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. Boniface in Walhalla.

Avis Braun was born March 20, 1947, in Turtle Lake, ND to Emil and Ruth (Schafer) Braun. She graduated from Walhalla High School. On August 27, 1966, Avis married Lonnie Longtin in Walhalla. She worked for numerous businesses in the Walhalla area and in the office at a brokerage business in Pembina, ND. Avis enjoyed doing crafts with her sister, Donna and going to craft shows. She also went on many horse excursions with her husband.

Survivors include her husband, Lonnie; sister, Donna Gieske, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, brother Selmar, and brother-in-law Lister Gieske.
