Anna Lisa Winkler

Anna Lisa Winkler, age 46 of Neche, ND died on Friday, August 25, 2006 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at Sts. Nereus and Achilleus Catholic Church in Neche. Burial will be in Neche Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 30 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the church. There will also be visitation for one hour prior to service time on Thursday.

Anna Lisa Winkler, the daughter of Fred and Lillie (Harris) Sloan, was born on August 14, 1960 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was raised and attended school in Leavenworth, Kansas. Anna made the move from Kansas to North Dakota in 1981.
She was united in marriage to Dwight Winkler on August 21, 1981 in Cavalier, North Dakota and to this union were born three children.
Anna was a devoted wife and mother to her family, and also enjoyed the privilege of being a loving grandmother.
She was a best friend with all of her children.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband: Dwight Winkler of Neche, ND; her son: Douglas Winkler of Neche; her daughters: Misty Lynn (Greg) Carriere and Tiffany Ann Winkler, both of Neche; her granddaughter: Brianna Lisa Winkler of Neche; her parents: Fred and Lillie Sloan of Lansing, KS; her three brothers: Gary (Linda) Sloan of Leavenworth, KS, Steven (Jamie) Sloan of Raleigh, NC, and Jamie (DaVonne) Sloan of Leroy, ND; other relatives and friends.
Anna was preceded in death by her grandparents.
