Andy Nupdal

Andy H. Nupdal, 67, of Hensel, ND, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital in Cavalier, ND. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home in Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held for one hour before the time of service.

Andrew H. “Andy” Nupdal was born January 2, 1959, at Grafton, ND to Steve and Eva (Gullingsrud) Nupdal. He grew up in the Cavalier area, where he also attended school. Andy worked with his family at Steve Nupdal Construction his entire life. Things he enjoyed were his dog Taz, cooking, gardening, and fishing.

He is survived by his siblings: Dianne (Gerry) Gerlach, West Fargo, ND, Roger (Mae) Nupdal, Clarksville, TN, Cindy (Randy) Meece, Fargo, ND, Amber Greenwood (Ty Miller), Cavalier, ND, Jason (Ellen) Nupdal, Thief River Falls, MN, Jim (Amanda) Nupdal, Crystal, ND, Joe Nupdal, Hensel, ND and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Steve and Eva and brothers: Dennis, Rory, and Stewart, and his significant other, Janice Townson.
