Albert A. Kalis

Albert A. Kalis, 82, of Walhalla, ND, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla. Memorial service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home in Walhalla, ND.

Albert Anthony Kalis was born on June 13, 1944, to Charles and Elenora (Schwartz) Kalis in Walhalla, where he also grew up. He worked with Artie Styles and was later self-employed as a painter.

Albert enjoyed woodworking, hunting, telling big buck stories and talking about his favorite hunting spots, visiting with local merchants and chatting on the phone. He could also be seen every evening out for a drive around the Walhalla area.

Albert is survived by his brother, Frank (Sharon) Kalis, several nieces and nephews including Tammy, Wanda and Jordyn.

He is preceded by his parents: Charles and Elenora, his brothers: Leo, George, and Johnny, nephew, Kelly, great-nephew B.J. and great-niece, Meghan.
