Adrian Knutson

Adrian Mical Knutson, 10, died as a result of a tragic accident on May 25, 2020.

Adrian was born August 13, 2009, in Devils Lake, ND. On February 17, 2010, Adrian joined the Knutson family as a foster child. It didn’t take long for the family to fall in love with him and his older siblings, as they were adopted into the family on November 28, 2011.

Adrian loved Jehovah God and Jesus, along with taking in knowledge through the bible. He also enjoyed helping neighbors, gopher trapping, all things cars, building forts, fishing, and being an uncle.

His favorite month of the year was most definitely July. Every year, he, along with his family, would take a week long fishing trip to Canada. Adrian would take weeks to prepare his tackle ahead of time. At the end of a long day of being on the boat, when everyone was tired of fishing, Adrian would continue to fish. He fished off the dock, in a paddleboat, or in a canoe.

He attended Valley-Edinburg school, recently completing the 4th grade. Adrian was known for making friends wherever he would go. He had a twinkle in his eye and a smile that would melt anyone’s heart. Adrian lived a life to be proud of. He had such a caring spirit and ever generous heart.

Adrian will be dearly missed by his parents Rodney and Patricia Knutson of Mountain, ND; and siblings: Amber (Jon) Meyer, Hankinson, ND; Erik (Brittiany) Knutson, Mountain, ND; Alexandra, Noah, Jaykob, Rodney, Ashton, Angelina, and Raelyn Knutson; nephews and niece: Owen, Bowen, and Bella; Grandma Betty Voytilla as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Private family service will be held at the Askew Funeral Home.. Due to Covid-19 the service will be available via live stream at the Askew Funeral Home Facebook site on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, you may instead consider the family's thoughts to take a trip to honor Adrian's life. The family has talked about wanting to take the kids somewhere where they can take a few days off from crying to celebrate their brother.
